Die mittelgroßen Kompressoren sind je nach Anwendung ein guter Kompromiss zwischen Gewicht, Größe und Leistung. Sie haben meistens eine Tankgröße von 24 Liter. Das ist ein ausreichendes Puffervolumen für viele Druckluftanwendungen. Gleichzeitig sind Geräte dieser Klasse auch noch einigermaßen bequem transportierbar. Nahezu alle Kompressoren dieser Größe sind mit Rollen ausgestattet, so dass auch Stufen oder längere Strecken überwindbar sind. Für Daueranwendungen ist das Puffervolumen von 24 Litern eher nicht geeignet. Willst Du also Druckluftwerkzeug oder sogar mehrere Druckluftwerkzeuge im Dauereinsatz im Dauereinsatz betreiben, solltest Du ein Gerät mit größerem Tank wählen.
